Overview
Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is a transparent, satin wood finish ideal for use on exterior wood including doors, windows, timber cladding, summer houses, pergolas and garden furniture. The formulation has been based on natural oils which allow the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinking which means the finish will not crack, peel, flake or blister. It's also water-repellent and highly weatherproof and UV-stable to ensure maximum protection against the elements. Along with easy and seamless application and no sanding needed for maintenance coats, Osmo's Natural Oil Woodstain is a hassle free product for wood in outdoor areas.

Preparation
Ensure the surface is clear from debris, dry and frost-free
- Clean old microporous stains thoroughly.
- Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed by sanding or using a paint stripper such as .
- If you have weathered or greying wood it may affect the finished colour we would advise using prior to application.
- If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood if possible on all sides with Osmo WR Base Coat.
- Using power washers will severely decrease the coverage of the finish.
Application
Before applying the product test a small area on the surface to be treated to ensure you are happy with the finished results. Results are influenced by the condition of the wood therefore a trial application is highly recommended.

- Apply using a brush or roller, we recommend using .
- Apply thinly along the wood grain and spread well.
- Allow to dry for 4-6 hours under good ventilation.
- Apply a second coat as above.

Aftercare & Storage
Cleaning
Damp cleaning with using Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush. General or multi-purpose cleaners will increase the frequency of maintenance and recoating.
Occasional Maintenance
If necessary, intensive cleaning and refreshing using or .
Recoating
Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible. No sanding or priming necessary simply ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.
